One invention that is being released this year is the eLegs Exoskeleton. This technology will allow the paralyzed an opportunity to walk once again. An article from Time Magazine states that “the eLEGS exoskeleton is a bionic device engineered to help paraplegics stand up and walk on their own. It’s hailed as a “wearable, artificially intelligent, bionic device,” and it’s expected to help out within the hospital, at home and elsewhere in this wild, wild place we call Earth.” I believe that this is a great innovation to not only help the medical field expand in their technology, but to offer citizens another chance to relive the life they once had. It will not only benefit the people at home, but for future generations as well. Another reason why this is a great invention is because we begin to recognize the steps towards making a better community. Lately we have been obtaining new devices such as an ipad and iphone that will allow us to explore the world in a new light, but this invention allows people to live once again while having the ability to walk. Sometimes technology is created for selfish purposes, but through this we realize the efforts that have been made to improve one’s state of living. The eLegs Exoskeleton demonstrates not only hard work, but dedication and inspiration towards those in the future who intend to use this with their patients. Many have had difficulty rehabilitating from an accident or simple birth defect, that their hopes for a new life have been diminished, but this will allow them to feel a part of society and help them throughout their daily routine.

I really think your pick on the interesting invention was a good one. Many of the inventions are very nice and will add to today's technology but this is something that is very personal and may help many as they struggle with being paralyzed. These create so many new possibilities allowing these people to regain a somewhat normal quality that can give them many opportunities that they may not be able to have being paralyzed and a lot less mobile. There will have to be many new developments and improvements to this invention to make it very accessible.I believe that this is a great innovation to not only help the medical field expand in their technology, but to offer citizens another chance to relive the life they once had. I love this invention that you picked David. This invention can make so many people both young and old happy once again. Those who suffer from being paralyzed can have new opportunities and do not have to miss out on things that they once loved to be a part of. This invention of the eLEGS Exoskeleton can open the doors and brighten the lives of so many. Tchnology keeps on growing and improving each year and with this new invention other invention can be created off of this to help those who are paralyzed or have other disabilities. Everyone should have the chance to do what they want in life without any set backs or restrictions. Many can benefit from this new invention in the community and in their own home. I agree when you talk about how like the Ipad and Iphone are new inventions and are growing and updating every few months but that is a material invention this is an invention that can better lives and like you said “allows people to live once again while having the ability to walk”. I also agree this is one of the greatest inventions of 2010. Even though the Ipad is pretty cool, nothing is better than improving someone's life and outlook on life as well. With these legs, a person is not only given the chance to walk, but a gift of hope as well. Especially for a person that has been restricted for so long, they can live life wihtout being constantly held back by their disability. While the Ipad and Iphone are both brilliant inventions, they get old. Apple is always coming out with something "better" and "faster", which will eventually become obsolete. But, giving paralyzed individuals the chance to walk will forever be appreciated and always be important. While some people their life may be over after being paralyzed, it's not becasue now there is hope to walk again. "Another reason why this is a great invention is because we begin to recognize the steps towards making a better community." This is also very true. The fact that we have invented this as a society shows what is truly important to us and our compassion for those with disabilities. Through our generosity and care we can make their lives better, but only if we try.
